1. Chitrakoot Falls

In between Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, the giant waterfalls of India ‘Chitrakoot’ claimed its area. Chitrakoot is the widest Indian water fall and it becomes even wider and unruly in monsoon season. Based on its monsoon appearance, Chitrakoot is known as Indian Niagara. It falls from a height of about 100 feet and extends up to 150 meters from the peak of rocks; mainly during monsoon. River Indravati, a side stream of Narmada is the resource of this largest waterfall.

2. Dhuandhar Waterfalls

The name Dhuandhar means smoke and cascade and the reason behind its elegant name is formation of water vapor while heavy water flow falling from a huge height hits the base of the ground or rocks below. The waterfall is located in Bhedaghat, Madhaya Pradesh and Narmada River is its resource. Visitors will get a magical view in this place with a picturesque view of young trees and shrubs which is famous in refreshing mood of folks. The white water continuously hits rocks while making its own way and this is how the world famous marble rocks reveals itself. The constant interaction of the heavy water flow with rocks creates smoky ambiance in the surrounding.

3. Athirappilly Falls

One of the top tourist destinations and finest waterfalls around is situated in Kerala, named as Athirappilly Falls. It drops from about 80 feet high peak along with various side streams. People can visit at any time, although monsoon will be the best time for viewing the speculative appearance of the waterfalls that extends its width by joining up all its small variants together. People are allowed to see the waterfall closely and even they can relish the opportunity to climb up at the top peak and swim in the bottom of the stream.
